Why Not Sing?

Dance with a stranger,

They seem to be the best.

Don't be scared of the danger,

Don't act like all the rest.

Stand out and be yourself

No matter who that is,

If everyone's themselves

Then no matter what anyone says:

You can yell out loud

With all you’ve got,

Make yourself proud

Stay away from what you’re not.

My only question is,

Why not sing?

Or do your own thing?

You are your own being,

So be what you’re being,

Don’t hold on to what they all cling

All that can bring is

Lies, confusion, and betrayal

And no one wants that,

So follow your own trail,

Ignore all that negative chat.

Next time you see a chance to perform

Calm that inner storm

And help us all transform

The answer to my question,

Why Not Sing?
